Two male Yellow-tufted Honey Eaters in my garden at Maldon on the morning of 27th May 2013, along with a Grey Shrike-thrush, a pair of Scarlet Robins, Red-browed finches, an Eastern Spinebill, three White-plumed Honey Eaters …..(not including the usual thornbills, wrens, silver eyes and rosellas…..a very busy morning!
Thanks for the note Stephanie – our local gardens are great spots for birds. I’ve had Eastern Spinebill, White-browed Scrubwren, Yellow Thornbill and Rufous Whistlers as recent highlights.
Cheers, geoff
A beautiful big Tawny Frogmouth sat on my gate post for ages last night….made the occasional sortie down to the ground to look for supper then back up to his post. Very relaxed, even though he was only about 4 metres away from the deck.
What a great sight I’ll bet!
Cheers, geoff
