Just a selection of visitors to a small, drying waterhole in the Muckleford bush at the weekend.
I’m on the lookout for Black Honeyeater and Yellow-plumed Honeyeater – no luck so far but late summer is the time when these dry-country specialists are likely to turn up.
Hi Geoff,
great photo of orange/red – orange, it’s almost as good as having it in the hand! This immature bird fledged in October 2020, but seems to have already lost its buff allulas. Never ceases to amaze me how fast they grow up.

Hi Geoff,

I had the same question about the bird bands. But I also wanted to say thanks for a wonderful array of photos again. I am sure my bird skills are improving thanks to your efforts.
