Up the creek without a paddle

I enjoyed a pleasant walk early yesterday morning, up-stream from the highway on Joyce’s Creek. There was a nice selection of birds – Yellow-billed Spoonbill, Sacred Ibis, White-faced Heron, Black-fronted Dotterel and a single Black-winged Stilt.

The highlight was this adult White-bellied Sea-Eagle, camped in a River Red-gum a good distance up the creek. I suspect the shallow water and an abundance of carp makes this a good fishing spot for a hungry eagle.

  1. What beautiful shots in flight. Inspiration when back in the office “with the round eternal of the cash book and the journal”.
