    Thanks for your comments re the sacredness of nature. As a Uniting Church minister I have found the thoughts of Bonaventure, a medieval Franciscan monk, very helpful. He wrote. “What we need to nurture is “CONTUITION”,, meaning the capacity to gaze at a tree, or an animal, or a flower, to take great delight in it, and at the same time to know it is the self-expression of divine wisdom ,”

  4. Great example of simplicity/complexity in nature: limb breaks off a tree; exposes heartwood that rots and provides a potential home for a family. (and later death of a fish)
