Woodland evening

This collection below represents an iconic woodland set – all species that can be found locally at this time of year in high quality remnants.

The Rainbow Bee-eaters have featured before this season – there were about a dozen last night hawking in the skies above the Yellow Gums, a mixture of adults and recently fledged juveniles. I expect they’ll head north in the next few days. I hadn’t observed Eastern Yellow Robins at this site previously, but there they were … in one of their favoured gully habitats.
