A true artist

Over the years I’ve found many nests of the Grey Fantail.

Each one was a work of art, woven from thin strips of bark, cobwebs and fine grass into the shape of a champagne flute. The nest pictured below is in the mid stages of construction – it will be finished with a shallow bowl into which two or three eggs are laid. Hopefully I’ll be able to bring you some updates over coming weeks.
