    I want to express our appreciation for your beautiful photos of fauna and flora. We are keen gardeners and have established a native garden over the last ten years with the result that we see many of the birds you have photographed. One of the greatest surprises has been to have a satin bowerbird in our garden, seeing its magnificently constructed bower and hearing the variety of its calls as it tries to entice the female. Many are the honey eaters, especially the yellow tufted one and the eastern spinebill.

      Thanks for your note – Mary and I lived in Wang in the 80s and I can’t recall ever seeing a Satin BB … what a treat!
