A grey bird for a grey day

There is only one word to describe the weather this week …. grey!

In keeping with the theme here are some images of a Grey Currawong seen along Fence Track a few days back. I’ve commented previously on the bill difference between this species and the Pied Currawong, both of which may be encountered over winter in our area. The Grey Currawong lacks the protruding hooked tip of its Pied relative. Click here and here for a comparison.

    However we are enjoying the rain on these grey days Last month, May …. we got over 100 mm which has happened here 100 in a month for 5 years Might put some ground water back into the system
