An autumn morning on the plains

Yesterday was a brilliant autumn morning on the plains. The dry conditions mean there is a dearth of species at the moment – I’m hoping like many others for a decent autumn ‘break’.

This female Super Fairy-wren was in the company of Zebra Finches and European Goldfinches at Nicholl’s Bridge.

  1. Gorgeous! I saw (and amazingly, got some nice pics) of a beautiful peregrine falcon on my travels this week – perching above a creek on the Hawkesbury. The brown falcon looks a tiny bit like it.
