Golden moments #2

While the gold in these two species is more subdued than that of the Eastern Yellow Robin, they nonetheless qualify for a series on golden moments.

Fuscous Honeyeaters are ever-present in the local bush, their sweetly melodic trills accompany me on most of my walks.

Fuscous Honeyeater, Rise and Shine, 14th February 2016

Striated Pardalotes are much quieter now that the breeding season is over. It was lovely to spot this one as it took a break from gleaning lerp higher up in the canopy of a River Red-gum at the Rise and Shine.
