While the storm was brewing

What a terrific sight to see – storm clouds brewing, and then most importantly dropping some welcome rain. We’ve had ~ 40mm over the past week, sweet relief after a depressingly dry start to spring.

It’s doesn’t seem to have slowed the Welcome Swallows, there are numerous juveniles being fed by their parents along the Loddon River at present.

  3. Here’s my friend the lady kooka. I’m hoping she’ll have some chicks soon.

The swallows often fly for insects around the creek 100m down the road from my house. Its especially fun when they fly under the road up the concrete culvert and out the other side.
