Fairy-wrens in the saltbush

A family of Superb Fairy-wrens have been bobbing about in the front yard all spring. Yesterday afternoon this beautifully coloured male revealed the location of their active nest with repeated feeding visits. The nest is tucked away in a Hedge Saltbush – it’s always encouraging to see our garden plantings used to usher in the next generation.

  1. Beautiful sharp photos Geoff. Lovely to see what a fine meal the bird has caught!

  2. No wonder they are called “superb”!
