Diversity in the Mia Mia

The ‘Mia Mia’ is located to the north-east of Newstead. It features a southward running drainage line with River Red-gums along the creek, some nice Yellow Box on the lower slopes that grade into typical heavily-cut over box-ironbark forest on the facing ridges. Alas, the creek rarely flows these days – there is still however a nice suite of interesting birds to be found.
