  1. Geoff, we have only just got home, and the bird bath has been empty for some time. As you have pointed out, on many occasions, the ‘Striaghted Pardalote’ loves to nest in tunnels, usually of its own making. We hadn’t mentioned it previously, through prudishness or ignorance, but we had a pair nesting, under our front verandah, last season. Now there is water available, they are checking out the verandah again… will confirm if its the case, and perhaps if time permits, you might like to ‘sit’ and watch & see what happens?

  2. A great trip… and did keep eyes open for birdlife, but our cameras aren’t up to scratch, so no pics. Will confirm if the Pardalotes are interested.
