Young wedgies #1

This evening I’ve had a nice encounter with two young Wedge-tailed Eagles at Cairn Curran.

The birds were perched on a series of dead River Red-gums along the original course of the Loddon River, a little upstream of the Welshman’s Reef Caravan Park. The youngsters were less wary than adults would have been and allowed a reasonably close approach. Magnificent birds!
