The metronomic wren

Our family of Superb Fairy-wrens includes an adult male in full breeding plumage and another male, presumably a younger bird, in eclipse plumage. The younger male has a black bill, just a suggestion of brown around the eye and a royal blue tail – featured in metronomic motion in these shots.
