Willie Wagtail in the late afternoon sunshine

In spite of their friendly and confiding nature I find Willie Wagtails, like most black and white birds, extraordinarily difficult to photograph.

Late this afternoon along Sullivan’s Track I had the odds in my favour – a low afternoon autumn sun providing a nice golden glow, allowing the wagtail’s sheen to be seen at its best.
