The lesser lights

With all the honeyeater activity around the waterhole the lesser lights have hardly had a look in. Below is a selections of some other visitors to this wonderful ‘hotspot’ in the Mia Mia.

Some species, such as the Dusky Woodswallow and Grey Shrike-thrush, are in my experience, infrequent visitors to water. However, when conditions are really dry the lure of water is strong for many birds.
