Variety and abundance

The waterhole along Mia Mia Track just keeps on giving. This is but a selection of visitors from one of my visits – late in the day last week.

Peaceful Dove, Mia Mia Track, 24th March 2015.

A male Scarlet Robin …

… followed by the female coming in for a drink.

Black chinned (at left) and Fuscous Honeyeater eyeing each other off.

Black-chinned Honeyeaters are less common and appear slightly less aggressive.

Black nape, blue ‘eyebrow’ and black chin – my favourite local honeyeater.

Eastern Yellow Robins are regular visitors to the waterhole, especially late in the day.

Always striking … sometimes too much with this slightly overexposed image!
