A golden lining

Further to the post from Frances last week on the return of the Tawny Frogmouths to Newstead Natives, I was keen to pay them a visit. Frances suggested that they may have had a tiff!

I located this years nest site, some distance away in another Yellow Gum – in the same horizontal fork as last season. The nest has already been refurbished, and interestingly, lined with a spray of Golden Wattle. The unopened flower buds were clearly visible from below. Stay tuned for regular updates!
